Could one possibly reflect on what was going through the mind of Jesus Christ during the passion sequence? Here is an attempt through montage to gather a glimpse of that moment with a future forward feel... 2000 and some years ago, the planet still remembers. And the meaning of the event is up to each individuals context of how one looks at life through the prism of their journey.

Recently I enjoyed speaking with a classroom full of Seniors at Ball State University at the David Letterman Communications Center. It was just after Spring Break, their dreams were in the air with anticipation for budding career steps. What a joy to share with them some fun career stories, how to take risks with ideas and how to break into the competitive entertainment media fields. It surprised me that they were keenly interested about "The Envoys...coming to a city near You". History, mystery, music and more does have a hook with 10 cities and the gathering of story for picture seems to ignite the spark for momentum development. Young minds know a good thing. Building a band of travelers attracts them. Guiding a dream or two may be the ticket for the clue to the next steps. And on a personal note my wife and I enjoyed the previous night...

Entertaining encounter with Bobby Womack. We worked with him in the mid '90's on a few projects after the Street Gold specials hit TV syndication. A one of a kind songwriter with a big heart. This short story will give you a glimpse at his path and his salute to Ruffin & Kendrick is memorable called "Forever Love". . This feature was shot in the Charlie Chaplin Studios, also known as A & M Records. Rolling Stones fans may know that Bobby wrote one of their early hits " It's All Over Now".

Driving in from TN, you come across the bridge into Mobile county on 65 South, you can feel something in the air. Mile Marker 25, it could be Warrior River or the Dolly Parton as the locals call the bridge. Not just the humidity, it is something that you know, that calls out to your heart... it is a eternity need that has the potential to be filled. It is the arts, it is the music it is the word. People too, it is a sense of lifestyle that is different from New Orleans, different than Birmingham and for sure different than Chicago. We put the band together today.... Nicky on lead vocals, Nellie on Drums, Glenn of course holding the team together on Bass... Looking for a guitar player... Dave stepped in today to guest on rhythm. Looking to fill out the rest... can Trevis make the cut...Tina does...

A memorable moment we captured in New Orleans. Treasured by many and it still lives on as a compelling verse of song delivered by David Ruffin. Check out the setup with Arthel Neville and the bitter sweet performance... you will never be the same~ ( Click below) Street Gold Entertainment produced the Special which ran in syndication and was a fitting Tribute delivered by his friend Eddie Kendrick after Ruffin died. CBS New York, NBC Chicago and L.A. were some of the featured plays. Directed by Dave Tucker

New Orleans. It does not take much to think about how that culture, music and food has crossed my path these last 20 years. If I try to read the signs and at least look for them..... quite a few markers are there. The Year was 1991, my third son Steven was just born on the 10th of January and I was gathering a dream team of production people, television concepts and marketing team to launch the third week of January at NATPE in New Orleans as Street Gold Entertainment. Heady stuff and it was a thrill ride to watch dreams coming to fruition. Our host Arthel Neville had created an excellent pilot with segments in Chicagoland, and our talent was coming into place for the story ( Motown's Original Leads of the Temptations... Ruffin, Kendrick & Edwards). I could sense that New Orleans was a great place to do...

How one Mayor introduced me to another... A story in consideration of a New Year By Dave Libby About 10 years ago Mayor Daily, who was then mayor of Chicago, decided to enact a campaign to “clean up” the city. This entailed getting the homeless off the streets of lower Wacker Drive. The strategy was simple – while they were out, take their belongings. So, city officials began cleaning the streets by confiscating sleeping bags, tents and other “unattended” itinerant items found around the city, and in particular along lower Wacker Drive. Feeling this was unjust, I solicited some friends to participate in a “re-supply project”. Several small fellowships gathered sleeping bags, small tents, blankets and food for a couple weeks and then with four other friends and three cars we headed down to the city at around 10 pm one winter night to find the...

IPHONE FUN! Gazing into the pool of reality present and hope. Here is an assignment of taking what you have, and creating something for the planet or your family, or just me to ponder. Here is the recipe... try it out for the 2012 season of dreams. > We took 2 cuts we produced in the 90's from Graham Parker and Jerry Butler. >You have 10 min. on your Apple Library to view what you captured this fall for research or document.
